Hey everyone, I’m looking for a trusted and reliable head unit that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, preferably both wired and wireless. My budget is under £350, so I’m hoping to get the best quality for the price. I understand that CarPlay and Android Auto don’t rely heavily on the unit’s specifications, but I’d still like something with hardware capable of running them smoothly. I’m not too bothered about super-fast speeds, but I’d like an overall smooth and reliable experience. I also preferably need a fascia to fit my car. I don’t mind buying the fascia separately from AliExpress and the screen separately, so I’m open to mix-and-match options. I’d prefer a unit from a well-known brand with a reliable history. If anyone has recommendations based on personal experience or solid reviews, I’d appreciate the advice! Thanks in advance! Hello. I am looking to replace the head unit on my 2016 VW Scirocco facelift, I mention the facelift as the dash is different to the pre facelift version, and no-one seems to supply head units with surrounds, specifically for my model, so ideally any replacement unit will fit my existing trim. I already have, DAB, Reversing Camera and GPS for the sat nav, ideally I can keep all of those, without having to purchase aftermarket parts. Not looking for anything fancy just a better version of what I currently have, which is faulty (and not very good by comparison) Many thanks in advance Pete

I'm not finding much about what data I'm sharing and what data stays with the Head Unit Basically I want to minimize it since I'm (currently) only looking to run google maps. Stuart made a reccomendation to use a different Google account but it's not clear how to set that new account as the one used by Android Auto.
